About me
Thank you for visiting! If you clicked on this you want to know a bit about me, right?
Trying to explain a little about myself is difficult! I was raised on a dairy farm and always had a dream of living in the country and raising a family. God has been faithful in fulfilling my dream. After I graduated from college, Jim two-stepped into my life and we started a home and family. We renovated 8.5 acres into our new homestead and started a family all at once.
My three kids kept me busy over the last 20+ years. We are currently experiencing new changes with partial empty nesting due to college and the oldest making me a Mother-in-Law recently. I spend my time in the studio editing, doing yard work, and cooking when I am not behind the camera.
I am passionate about photos and the history they tell. I have sold Creative Memories, made memory DVD's and now take photos. I love telling a story, capturing a moment, or just admiring God's handiwork in nature. I started taking photography seriously after working with a professional photographer on a mission trip. That week touched my soul and pushed photography from a hobby to a business interest. I invested money in a "real" camera/lens, time in education, and I haven't put the camera down since!
I am mostly a natural light photographer, but also have a small studio in my home for headshots, newborn, etc. A few years ago I decided to turn our property into an "outdoor studio" which is where I do most of my work.
I am an open book, I love to talk and be real with people which, I hope, makes my subjects feel comfortable.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about me!
Blessed,
Laurie
